Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I’ve been injured. What’s my first step?
A. Your first step is to contact the Camerlengo Law Group today. Your initial consultation is absolutely free of charge and completely confidential.

Q. How much will an attorney cost me?
We will handle most cases on a pure contingency basis. That means if we do not recover any money, you do not owe the Camerlengo Law Group for any fees or costs. If a recovery is obtained, we are paid a percentage of any compensation received and then reimbursed for costs incurred on your behalf.

Q. Why should I choose the Camerlengo Law Group?
A. The dedicated, caring and experienced attorneys at the Camerlengo Law Group put your interests first. We are a full-service plaintiff’s law firm that emphasizes the dignity of clients and the integrity of our practice. We believe in the values of honesty, integrity, fairness and in always treating each client with dignity.

Q. I’ve been injured. Do I really need an attorney?
A. Hiring an experienced attorney is the most certain way to receive justice and full compensation for your losses. Chances are good that you will be dealing with insurance companies who will be working in their own best interests, not yours. We believe it is very important to hire an attorney who can protect your best interests.  Injured persons that retain an attorney usually recover at least three times what they would have without competent representation.

Q. What’s the best way to choose your attorney?
Let’s start with the worst way to choose an attorney and that is to do it based on TV, radio or other advertisements. You should always meet with an attorney in person to get a feel for his or her personality, experience and dedication to your case. Your relationship must be based on trust, and only a direct one-on-one meeting can determine the level of trust you will place in your attorney. At Camerlengo Law Group, you will meet with an attorney the first time and every time. Of course, the initial consultation is absolutely free and there is no obligation until a contract for representation has been signed.

If you call a lawyer from a TV, radio ad or otherwise and the person that they send to meet with you is not a Florida Bar licensed attorney, do not hire that law firm.

Q. If I’ve had an accident. What should I do?
You should always report any accident to your insurance company and the appropriate law enforcement agency. Always be courteous with your insurer but we do not recommend giving a recorded statement until your attorney is present. You should not give the insurance carrier of the at-fault party any information or a statement prior to hiring an attorney. Always remember that insurance companies work in their own best interest. That means paying you as little as possible in compensation for the accident.

Q. What types of cases does the Camerlengo Law Group handle?
A. We handle a wide range of cases, including:
